Ways to Give

The Fort Scott Area Community Foundation (FSACF) wants to see our participating funds grow and provide lasting support for charitable work in our region, so we're making it as easy as possible for you to give on Match Day! Here are some of the ways you can choose to give:

1. Give online

At 12:00 a.m. on November 28, 2023, this website (FortScottGives.org) will start accepting donations. Simply select one or more participating funds you'd like to donate to, enter your contact and payment information, and submit your payment! We use Stripe to process your donation.

2. Hand-deliver your donation

On November 28, you can take your donation by cash or check to the Fort Scott Area Chamber of Commerce, 231 E. Wall Street, between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Make sure you complete a printable Match Day donation form (downloads PDF) and bring it with you! If paying by check, please make it payable to Fort Scott Area Community Foundation.

3. Mail your donation

Can't make it by on Match Day? That's okay--you can mail your check to FSACF at P.O. Box 901, Fort Scott, KS 66701. Be sure to include a printable Match Day donation form (downloads PDF) so we know which funds you'd like your donation to benefit. If paying by check, please make it payable to Fort Scott Area Community Foundation. Donations sent by mail must be postmarked by Wednesday, November 29, 2023.

4. Donate through your donor-advised fund

If you have a donor-advised fund at CFSEK or FSACF, you can log into your fund-advisor portal and request a grant to funds participating in Match Day. Want to give through a DAF you hold with another organization? Contact that organization to request a grant to FSACF, and contact us to let us know the grant is coming!

5. Donate from your IRA

Do you have an IRA or similar retirement account? Contact your advisor before Match Day about making a distribution to FSACF to benefit one or more of our participating funds on (or around) Match Day. Then, contact us to let us know to expect the payment.

6. Donate stock

Finally, you can donate publicly traded stock to benefit the fund or funds of your choice. Please contact the Community Foundation before Match Day for additional information and assistance.
